 Advisory

Elizabeth Wells Appraisals & Fine Art Services offers collection development and guidance for the beginner collector, and advises the established collector wishing to source specific material.  We engage with clients about their art needs and visual preferences, and have an intuitive sense when it comes to finding the right art for each collector and their space.

As collections grow and evolve, many established collectors find themselves in the position to sell or donate select works of art. For those clients, we offer brokerage services for single works or entire estates, working with private collectors, galleries and auction houses to complete successful and discreet art sales. If a more charitable deaccession is preferred, we facilitate placement of art donations to qualified non-profit institutions.

Collection Management

Lisa is designer and co-creator of the Wells Art System collection database: a fully customizable comprehensive art collection database designed for private collections. Based on Lisa’s knowledge and experience managing large and small art inventories, the FileMaker platform is a simple, elegant, user-friendly system created to help collectors keep track of their art collection.  With the Wells Art System, the client is equipped to maintain their own collection with minimal instruction and no monthly fee.  If requested, arrangements can be made for Lisa to manage the collection database.
